In regards to the news report that was released today, Tuesday June 16th, concerning the closing of the Nassau Coliseum...…..

Please be advised that Sal, Rudy and I are aware of this report and will be attempting to contact the Coliseums' HR department for any pertinent information.  Any info received from Nassau will be posted on the Local176 website.

As most people are working from home during these difficult times, there may be a longer than usual response time from the Coliseum.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Licensed Ushers and
Ticket Takers
"Unity is Strength"

On behalf of the Officers and Members of the Executive Board of Local 176-Licensed Ushers & Ticket Takers Union, let me start by saying I hope all and their families have maintained their health and safety throughout this COVID-19 Pandemic/Crisis.  Vice President Smith, Business Agent Marinacci, and I were on a teleconference to finalize a “Memorandum of Understanding” with representatives of ASM Global.  While we recognize there is no exact science to compute relief payouts, we feel this process took as many possible variables in to consideration for all involved.

We agreed to a one time financial relief package for all Usher/Ticket Takers who are currently active in their system.  The payout is broken into four (4) tiers, based on the amount of hours worked in the period from October 1, 2019 until March 12, 2020. The tier breakdown is:

300 hours or more worked          $1,700
                                                                               200-299 hours worked                  $1,300
                                                                               100-199 hours worked                  $1,000
                                                                               Under 100 hours worked              $500

It is expected that the payment will be released on Friday, April 3, 2020.

All Ushers/Ticket Takers will be receiving an email from Nassau HR.

Local 176 has agreed that there should not be any assessments taken out of this relief payout.  Continue to keep yourself and your family   safe, and let’s get through this crisis together.

In solidarity,

Sal LoCascio
President
